HIGH/LOW BLUES
I’m always a little late to the trends since I rather focus on clothes and things that shape my style and taste. Though I may like what I see online and on the streets, I tend to not partake in the mass hoarding of fads. Instead, I’ll decide if it fits into my wardrobe and if it does, I choose a piece wisely so that it may stand the test of time. One of those happens to be the high/low dresses and skirts that everyone and their aunt mildred seems to be donning with usually nary a thought on how it is supposed to be worn. I’m talking about women who make sure that the low part is as short as a lace negligee.-__- This is only one of two high/low pieces that I own. I chose it for its classic color, the pleats, and the perfect cascading symmetry.
What I Wore:
- h&m dress and purse
- YSL belt
- Target wedges
- Gap jacket
- Tom Ford sunnies
- bird on a branch necklace from a booth at Artists and Fleas
- earrings from a swap event
Photos taken at an ALLURE event at the Riccardo Maggiore Salon … possibly many moons ago — you know how I am about retroactive posts— ;-)
