TUESDAY’S TIES WITH TED (BAKER)
UPDATE: Clearly, this was supposed to have been posted yesterday. I just realized that it did not automatically post. I apologize >_<
Tuesday is probably one of the most insignificant days of the (work) week. Think about it: Monday is dreaded, Wednesday is the halfway point, and Thursday is the precursor to Friday. Which is precisely why I chose to do special segments on Tuesdays. I wanted to add some pizzazz to such a blah day. Last week, I decided to dedicate Tuesdays to Ted Baker, which previously have been reserved for ties; as if a proverbial lightbulb formed and came on atop my head, I thought, why not combine the two? Ted Baker has some endearingly charming looks for men (as well as for women) that I am just utterly smitten with… So I present Tuesday’s Ties featuring Ted Baker:
- The Lambow: A linen checked bow tie that could very well be the epitome of summer casual. This is perfect for a day look— whether out and about on the town or shooting the breeze on a porch swing. The adjustable neck and the hook closure makes it easy to put together with a crisp cotton shirt and khakis. Yes, it’s pre-tied bow tie, but I’m not so much a tierannical purist when it comes to bow ties as most people would have me pegged. I veer more towards the design, rather than be a stickler for tradition.
- The Roger: A paisely printed skinny tie with contrast lining is a great finishing touch to any white button up shirt. I love me a good paisely and this China blue is so elegant and cool. A blue and white that mimics the sky is a great color to have during the warm and bright days ahead. I can see this tie fitting right in at the workplace and at a weekend shindig.
What do you think? I hope spending a little time with Ted was enough to tie you over on this fine Tuesday …. and no I refuse to apologize nor give up the tie puns :-P
